I apologise that it’s been so long since I’ve posted, I haven’t really been feeling inspired and didn’t want to post anything half-arsed:p
But alas I am back with a review of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette!
This palette is stunning! As you can see from the pictures it’s full of warm browns, mauves and nudes, as well as a cool grey and ultra pigmented black. All of these shadows are matte, apart from ‘Blow’, which is a really pretty shimmery cream colour.
The top row:
The Bottom Row:
These shadows are all really pigmented and wearable, you can create so many warm looks, as well as some slightly cooler. Each shadow is creamy and super easy to blend and are such amazing shades that you’ll always come back to, or I do at least! There is one shade that slightly disappoints me with its lack of pigmentation which is ‘Pre-Game’, I find myself using ‘My Tribe’ from my Ciate and Chloe Morello palette instead as the pigmentation of this one just doesn’t come through. But apart from that, each shadow is seriously impressive!
The palette comes with this little brush:
I don’t personally use this brush much, however the small brush end is really great for packing shimmer on the lids!
The packaging of this palette is so beautiful, the lid having that recognisable rose gold metallic spectrum-type thing, and it has such a great, huge, mirror which I love.
At £39.50 it’s not the cheapest palette out there… I was lucky enough to receive mine as a gift from my boyfriend but, having said that, with the use I get out of it and the quality of the shadows I would still spend that money. I’d recommend this to anyone, whether you’re starting out or otherwise, as it has a nice range of shades that everyone needs (In my opinion 😉 )
So yeah I hope you enjoyed this review! BTW I’m not sponsored by Urban Decay (damn) so these views are all my own 🙂
Thanks for reading!
Love Lyds xx
